A well respected construction and facilities services provider currently engaged on a long term framework with His Majesty’s Prison & Probation service is seeking to expand their team with the addition of a Cleaner/Housekeeper to work on a Ministry of Justice scheme in the heart of Worcestershire.
The client is actively working on 60 secure premises throughout England and Wales and are motivated to maintain and deliver safe, clean and efficient facilities and this team plays an important part in ensuring that planned and reactive maintenance works are executed in a safe, compliant and timely manner.
As a Cleaner/Housekeeper, you will be responsible for a range of duties including:
Providing a cleaning service that delivers to our contractual requirements
Controlling stock levels and order consumables
Operating machinery safely and in line with the guidelines and training provided
Ensuring H&S standards are achieved across the contract.
The working pattern is 39 hours a week across a 7 day shift rota (15% uplift to salary provided). The client will support you through the Prison Security clearance process so while it’s not essential for you to have this already, you will need to be eligible to secure clearance.
We’re keen to hear from you if you have:
Experience in cleaning large buildings and sites although this is not essential as we will provide you with the required development you need to bring you up to speed.
Experience of using cleaning chemicals and machinery safely
Additionally, you’ll need to be a reliable and punctual team player who will be comfortable working in a prison environment.
