Job Title: Factory Cleaner
Location: Near Carlisle, Cumbria
Company Overview: Join our clients dynamic team, a leading manufacturing company located near Carlisle, Cumbria. They are dedicated to producing high-quality products and maintaining a clean and safe working environment for their employees.
Position Overview: We are currently seeking a diligent and reliable Factory Cleaner to join our clients team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness throughout the factory facility, ensuring that all areas are kept to the highest standards of hygiene.
Work hours are Monday to Friday 0800 to 1600 with occasional weekend work to cover holidays as required.
Subject to a successful 12 week probationary period, which is completed through the employment partner, this role will become a permanent postion.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general cleaning duties including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting in production and warehouse areas.Empty bins on site and ensure proper disposal of waste materials.
Clean internal walls, posts, and barriers to maintain a tidy and presentable environment.
Conduct general housekeeping tasks to uphold cleanliness standards.
Perform occasional external work, including keeping pathways clean and tidy.
Assist with maintenance tasks as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the facility.
Requirements:
Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial roles preferred but not required.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
High level of discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality in sensitive areas.
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to cleanliness.Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks that may require lifting or bending.
Flexibility to work occasional weekends or evenings as needed.
Due to the factory location, your own transport is essential.
Benefits:
Competitive hourly wage £12.20 per hour Monday to Friday, Saturday £18.30, Sunday £24.40
