Leading global manufacturer renowned for our high-quality products are looking for a Production Manager due to internal promotion.
Role: Production Manager
Salary: £55-58k + benefits
Location: Herefordshire
As a Production Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, overseeing the production processes, and ensuring smooth operations within our world-class manufacturing facility. You will be key in driving Quality, Continuous Improvement and mentoring and leading your team.
Responsibilities for Production Manager:
o Lead and manage a team of production supervisors and operators to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
o Efficiently plan and organize manufacturing activities to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
o Maintain strict adherence to quality control standards and continuously improve processes to enhance overall product quality.
o Develop and implement standard operating procedures to streamline operations and ensure effective utilization of resources.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and logistics, to optimize production schedules and meet customer demands.
o Monitor and analyse key performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance operational performance.
o Foster a positive and safety-focused work culture, promoting continuous learning and development opportunities for the team.
Qualifications and Experience for Production Manager:
o Proven experience as a Production Manager in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
o Strong knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control practices, and production planning.
o Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and motivate a diverse team, driving them towards achieving production goals.
o Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement innovative solutions in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
o Exceptional organizational and time management skills, ensuring efficient utilization of resources.
