Job Description
Pertemps Lincoln are seeking a skilled CNC Miller to join our customers team in Lincoln. We are working with a local, Lincoln based, engineering firm who are looking to add a CNC Machine Operative to their already successful team. As a CNC Miller, you will be responsible for programming and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce high-quality parts and components.
What will I be doing?
- Programming CNC machines using CAD/CAM software.
- Setting up and operating the CNC machine.
- Monitoring machine performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality output.
- Inspecting finished products for accuracy and adherence to specifications.
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues that may arise during the machining process.
- Working with engineers and designers to optimize machining processes.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
What skills do I need?
- Proficiency in basic math calculations for precise measurements and calculations
- Strong mechanical knowledge to understand machine operations and troubleshoot issues.
- Familiarity with tooling and tool maintenance
- Experience with logic controllers for programming CNC machines.
- Knowledge of hand tools for machine setup and adjustment
- Experience working in a warehouse environment with materials handling.
- Ability to assemble components according to specifications.
What hours will I be working?
Monday to Thursday – 0700 to 1600
Friday – 0700 to 1200
What will I be paid?
£23,300 to £32,400. This is dependent on your experience.
