Job Description
Pertemps are currently recruiting for an experienced Van Driver based in Cardiff with an immediate start for a temp to perm opportunity.
Pay: £12 Per Hour
Monday – Friday: 08:00 – 17:00
The Role:
- Plan delivery routes throughout South Wales to safely ensure goods are delivered in a timely manner to customers
- Comply with health and safety requirements to ensure your vehicle is roadworthy before each and every journey, through daily vehicle checks
- Drive safely and follow all laws and rules of driving to maintain a safe and healthy work environment
- Ability to handle fragile packages and parcels with care and adhering to manual handling regulations – some heavy lifting is a requirement of the role
- Communicate with customers by phone to update them of time of deliveries if there have been issues or changes to their estimated time of arrival
- To assist in the warehouse to take delivery of goods for unloading, sorting, stacking and storage process/pick order requests for all stock items for a customer collection and /or delivery from the warehouse
The Right candidate:
- Valid full UK Driving licence with no more than 6 points.
- Excellent time management and organisation skills.
- Ability to undertake physical activities.
- Previous experience in a similar role
- A forklift licence is desirable
